A friend sent me a recording of the English version of this song recently. I much prefer the song in French. Poor dear Clo-Clo... a man who, like Dalida, despite international adoration of truly devoted fans, was somewhat tormented by loneliness and emotional turmoil. Both were artists whose lives ended tragically, and whose deaths devastated their fans.
